The Energy Infrastructure and Impact Office resides within the office of the commissioner of the board of university and school lands. The office is to provide assistance to political subdivisions through grant to oil and gas development impacted cities, counties, school districts, and other taxing districts. The director must be appointed by the board of university and school lands (Land Board).
Duties of the Director include developing a plan for the assistance through financial grants for services and facilities of counties, cities, school districts, and other political subdivisions. He is responsible for establishing procedures and forms to be used in the application process, receipt of and evaluation of applications, development of recommendations for award to be offered to the Land Board, for consideration, the processes and controls used in providing awards made by the Land Board and reimbursement processes used within the office.
